Cassette Fabric Limitations

Linked shades are designed to cover window spans that are too wide for a single shade. This options is advantageous when railroading a fabric is not desired or not possible. Gaps between shades will be narrowerwhen compared to separately installed shades, and gaps can be aligned with window mullions or frames for a clean and uniform look. Linked shades also allow the use of a single seamless cassette to house each shade.

2) CENTRE SUPPORT BRACKETS

Joins two shades together with separate clutch or motor controls allowing the customer to operate each shade independently. Two clutch controls or motors are required (L & R control).

BOTTOM RAIL OPTIONS

Elite offers three bottom rail options to complement or accent your shade�s decor. Bottom rails are fastened to the bottom edge of the fabric to add weight, stability, and visual appeal to the shade. Please specify your bottom rail choice on your order. If no bottom rail is specified, Elite will supply a default bottom rail based on your fabric selection (noted below).

SPRING ASSISTS

Long and Narrow Spring Assist:

Recommended for fabric thickness groups 2 & 3 that are narrower than 72" wide and longer than 102" high.

Regular Spring Assist:

Recommended for fabric thickness groups 2 & 3 that are larger than 96" W x 96" H.

Heavy Duty Spring Assist:

Recommended for fabric thickness groups 2 & 3 that are larger than 120" W x 96" H when using intermediate brackets.

INDEXABLE COUPLERS FOR LARGE AUTOMATED SHADES

Indexable couplers are used with motorized Z-200 or Z-400 hardware systems with linked shade options. The couplers are compatible with 2" and 2" tubes. One coupler set is needed per intermediate bracket and includes one male and one female coupler plus a plastic wrench. Both couplers feature retractable idler pins for easy installation. The wrench is used to rotate the spindles and retract pin. The Male coupler can be pulled apart to reveal indexable grooves, which can be rotated to adjust shade height +/- 1/16". This feature ensures each bottom rail is properly aligned and all shades are the same height.

MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend the use of a quality steel measuring tape for all measurements.

Inside Mount

Measure the exact width and length of the window openinig as shown. The factory will deduct 3/8 off the width of the shade for clearance. Please mark and specify inside or tight measurement on your order form.

Outside Mount

Measure the exact width and length of the window opening you wish to cover. The shade should overlap the window opening by at least 2” on both width and length. Please mark and specify outside mount or r finished measurement on your order and also specifiy whether you require valance returns.
