One thing to be aware of is that when you use Sun Control Shades it is a good idea to close your curtains during the evening hours to maintain privacy. In dimly lit rooms, this will not be an issue, however when you use bright interior lighting you will lose the privacy protection as a result of the sheer fabrics used in construction.

We've eliminated the spring roller! Phifer Sun Control Shades employ a Continuous Loop Clutch. We've combined form and function, and this Continuous Loop Clutch will provide you with easy lifting and lowering. Unlike other retailers, we include the Continuous Loop Clutch at no additional cost.

Product Description:

Sol-Shade 1% are perfect if you are needing to cut out the direct sunlight but would still like to have some view. The solar shades will offer light reduction while keeping the heat and the cold out and will offer some privacy. Fabric composition is 25% fiberglass and 75% PVC. Light vacuuming or wiping them down with a damp cloth with mild detergent is all you need to do to keep them looking great. The brackets are mounted on each end of the roller so the material starts a little ways in from the end leaving a gap down both sides of the fabric. This gap will let light into the room. If this is an issue you may want to do draperies or side panels that will cover the sides of the roller shades. The roller shades come with a clutch lift mechanism making them very easy to lift and lower and making them easy to stop at whatever height you want unlike the spring roller shades that are very hard to adjust.

Cassette Fabric Limitations

*SheerWeave 4000 / 4100 / 4400 / 4800 / 5000 and Timberland fabrics are not available with the S-300 Cassette.See pg DSS4-5 for fabric thickness groupings to determine maximum shade height.

Linked shades are designed to cover window spans that are too wide for a single shade. This options is advantageous when railroading a fabric is not desired or not possible. Gaps between shades will be narrowerwhen compared to separately installed shades, and gaps can be aligned with window mullions or frames for a clean and uniform look. Linked shades also allow the use of a single seamless cassette to house each shade.

1) INTERMEDIATE BRACKETS

Joins multiple shades together with one motor or chain control to operate as a single unit (L or R control). This can be an economical way of covering a wide set of windows, especially when automating the shades; only one motor is used. However, shades cannot be operated individually.

1) Hem Pocket

Most Solar Shade fabrics will be made with a hem pocket bottom rail unless otherwise specified. See fabric specs on page DSS5 for exceptions.

SPRING ASSISTS

Long and Narrow Spring Assist:

Recommended for fabric thickness groups 2 & 3 that are narrower than 72" wide and longer than 102" high.

Regular Spring Assist:

INDEXABLE COUPLERS FOR LARGE AUTOMATED SHADES

Indexable couplers are used with motorized Z-200 or Z-400 hardware systems with linked shade options. The couplers are compatible with 2" and 2" tubes. One coupler set is needed per intermediate bracket and includes one male and one female coupler plus a plastic wrench. Both couplers feature retractable idler pins for easy installation. The wrench is used to rotate the spindles and retract pin. The Male coupler can be pulled apart to reveal indexable grooves, which can be rotated to adjust shade height +/- 1/16". This feature ensures each bottom rail is properly aligned and all shades are the same height.

General Information

Dye Lot

Colours of dye lots may vary within commercial tolerances. Colours of fabrics may vary from samples. We cannot guarantee exact dye lots as sampled.THIS APPLIES TO ALL PRODUCT LINES. If two or more shades are butted together or installed in the same room, it is the Dealer's responsibility to inform us when placing the order so that the shades will be cut from the same dye lot.Matching dye lots may cause delay in delivery. We cannot guarantee dye lots on subsequent or different orders.

Chain and Motor Controls

Always specify if roller shade is to have left or right hand chain or motor controls. If not specified, factory will supply right control. If extra long or short chains are required,please specify at time of order.

Measuring Information

Measuring

Accurate measurements are essential. Be sure to use a quality steel tape since cloth tapes or wood rulers are not dependable for precise measurements. Measure all windows, even though they may appear to be identical.The factory will make the blind exactly the size ordered within tolerances of +1/8". The following guidelines should be used in measuring all roller shades:

Tip Measure

Tip measure is the measure from the outside edge of one pin, to the outside edge of the other pin.

Cloth Measure

If an exact cloth measure is required, specify "CLOTH MEASURE" when ordering. Note that the tube and brackets will extend beyond specified width approximately 1ï¿½".

Measuring Height

Measure height of window opening from top of frame to lower sill. Wrap is included in the suggested retail price.

Inside Mount

Measure the exact distance between the points where the brackets are to be installed and deduct ï¿½" for roller clearance or order inside mount tight and Elite will deduct 1/4". Specify tip measure.

Outside Mount

Measure the exact distance between the points where the brackets are to be installed. Specify tip measure.

Ceiling Mount

See Inside Mount (above). Where overlap is required add 3" to each side.

Blinds Express Roller Solar Shades Lifetime Limited Warranty

Our Guarantee: Once you are satisfied with your new Roller Shade and the way it is installed in your home, Blinds Express guarantees your shade will be free from defects due to faulty workmanship or materials for as long as the original purchaser owns the product, provided that the product was installed properly and in accordance with the installation instructions. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser only, in the original windows for which it was intended in residential properties only.

Our Obligation To You: For claims covered by the guarantee, we will replace or repair any product, with like or similar parts, which are found to be defective as a result of faulty workmanship or materials and excludes shipping costs, trip charges and labor costs for measuring and installtion.

Guarantee Limits: This guarantee does not apply to any Roller Shade or parts thereof which fail due to accident, alteration, improper use, abuse, neglect, normal wear, nor color fading dut to sunlight, direct exposure to salt air, failurre to follow instructions, installing or operating the product. Any defect, malfunction or other failure of the product to conform to this limited guarantee will be remedied by Blinds Express solely in the manner provided in this guarantee.

THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER, AND IS INTENDED TO EXCLUDE, ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY, WHETHER UNDER THIS LIMITED GUARANTE OR UNDER ANY GUARNATEE IMPLIED BY LAW, FOR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH THEREOF EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED ABOVE IN THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE, THE COMPANY HEREBY NEGATES AND DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS GUARANTEES.

Shipping Fees

UPS or FedEx Ground Shipping:
This applies to all orders under 96 inches in width or length shipping to an address in the contiguous 48 states of the U.S. If it travels by UPS or FedEx then shipping is FREE! Please call us for shipping quotes outside the covered area. Excluding all Plantation Shutters, which incurrs a 0.00 flat shipping fee per manufacturer.

Oversize Products Shipping Fee:
If your package is 96 inches or over in width or length it will be shipped by common carrier (semi truck) from the nearest manufacturing facility to you. There will be a .00 oversize shipping charge for any order with products that are 96 inches or more in width or length. This charge is per manufacturer. Meaning if you order two oversized products and they are from two different manufacturers (two different brands) then there will be TWO charges for a total of 0 shipping. But, if you have more than one product over 96 inches at it is from same manufacturer you will only pay one oversize fee. The fee is per order, not per blind. Excluding all Plantation Shutters, which incurs a 0.00 flat shipping fee per manufacturer.
